Power BI for Database Developers

Language: English
Event Type: In-Person
Online Meeting URL: None
RSVPURL: https://www.meetup.com/CincyPASS/events/257412506/

For years, I viewed Power BI as a good tool for prototyping dashboard content, but didn't necessarily think it was strong enough to compete with established reporting tools. While Power BI isn't a full-blown report writer, Microsoft has made serious enhancements to the tool over the years, and the result is a strong tool that is truly ready for "Prime Time". In this session, I'll show some advanced dashboard content, and even how you can integrate SSRS with Power BI. I'll use an actual work example (have changed the names and numbers for protection) to demonstrate how you can create sophisticated Power BI content in a fairly short period of time.
